Media

Why Media?

Graduates from the media program at SRH Haarlem are ready for the most in-demand roles in the field—whether launching their own ventures or managing social media for major brands. Career paths span editorial work with content formatting, media design for print and digital platforms, film and radio production, plus multi-channel marketing management. Particularly valuable are positions as trend researchers who analyze specific industries, alongside PR specialists shaping client reputations.

Bachelor’s in Creative Media

The Bachelor of Science in Creative Media specialization teaches how to convey ideas through written, spoken, and visual communication while engaging audiences meaningfully. Beyond mastering content creation, students learn to launch and monetize their own projects—combining professional skills with modern tools that range from business models and finance to concept development and digital storytelling with professional software. At SRH Haarlem University of Applied Sciences, they explore trends, work with network media, and analyze target audiences.

Study Modules

The first year builds fundamentals: students gain project management skills, develop teamwork abilities, explore publishing for print and online formats, and grasp screen journalism basics. The second shifts toward practice—running design agencies, studying artificial intelligence and communication ethics, mastering screen narrative. Year three immerses students in brand communications, consumer behavior, and event agency management before concluding with change management, while the final year brings study abroad, internships, and an applied research project.
