Preschool Level
Starting September 2026, St Peter’s School welcomes children from age 3 in its preparatory group. Families can choose between full-day sessions or separate AM and afternoon blocks, with year-round enrollment available. The curriculum weaves together physical education, music, and second languages, while Forest School activities let young learners develop collaboration and creative thinking through hands-on outdoor experiences. Language learning can begin as early as two—Italian lessons rely on games, songs, and movement to get children ready for French, German, and Spanish launch in Year 4.
Primary School
From Reception onward through Year 4, St Peter’s School builds learning around shared themes—each term, pupils explore a new topic or book work such as “Life on an Island” or Stig of the Dump. These themes connect English, numbers, art, geography, history, and science into cohesive experiences. Years 5 and 6 mark the shift toward specialist teaching, with subject experts guiding students through 15 disciplines in dedicated labs and creative spaces—from the termly Language Awareness program covering French, German, and Spanish to separate lessons in three natural sciences.
Subjects in Years 5–6:
- English, French, German, Spanish
- Religious Studies and Philosophy, History, Geography
- Math, Life Science, Chemistry, Physics
- Tech, Design and Technology, Art
- Music, Theater, PE
GCSE
St Peter’s School requires all students in Years 10–11 to take seven main areas: English Language and Writing (two qualifications), Math, three individual sciences—Biology, Chemistry, Physics with Double Award—a modern foreign language, and Religious Studies. Beyond these foundations, each pupil selects three additional disciplines receiving four weekly periods out of 13 options, with one restriction: no more than two languages, plus Latin cannot pair with Gratin (the joint Latin and Ancient Greek course).
Optional Disciplines:
- Languages: French, German, Spanish, Latin, Gratin
- Creative Design, Drama, Music
- Ancient World, History, Geography
- Tech, Design and Technology

The year-long EPQ, an independent research project, becomes available from January of the first year. From February 2026, the newly launched Super-Curricular Programme extends learning beyond A Level content into money skills, cooking, communication skills, plus university preparation, strengthening readiness for both adult life and college entry.
