Management and Social Sciences Course
International Foundation Year in Management and Social Sciences prepares students for THUAS by building academic foundations alongside professional capabilities. Two formats are available: a September start for the full year, or an accelerated January track for advanced learners. Classes unfold in The Hague’s modern campus, immersing students in an international environment where they can also explore Dutch language and culture, which smooths their transition into the local community.
Study Stages at The Hague Pathway College
The programme opens with eight core modules: academic literacy, business mathematics, communications, study success, management and organisation, economics, an inter-modular project, and research methods. Once students complete these foundations, they advance to specialized bachelor’s programmes delivered in English. Later stages deepen this groundwork through elective modules and practical training, while internships at international companies offer hands-on experience and professional connections.
Progression Options
The Hague Pathway College offers diverse continuation paths:
- International Business BBA focuses on global operations and strategic management, preparing graduates for multinational corporations.
- International Financial Management and Control BSc develops specialists in financial analysis and corporate governance, sought after in banking and consulting.
- International Communication Management BA builds expertise in global strategies and brand management, opening doors to PR and marketing.
- Other options include International Sports Management BA, User Experience Design BSc, and European Studies BA.
Opportunities After Graduation
Graduates access the Netherlands’ dynamic international business landscape, rich with multinational organizations. Through the Zoekjaar permit, they can stay or return for 12 months after completing their studies, easing integration into the local job market. During this window, they’re free to work in any sector while seeking permanent roles. For entrepreneurial ambitions, dedicated startup support provides favorable conditions for launching ventures in the Netherlands.
