Psychology BSc at University of Leeds
This three-year program approaches human behavior, thought, and motivation through rigorous scientific inquiry. As they master biological, developmental, cognitive, and social psychology, students develop analytical and research capabilities that prepare them to address practical problems. Personal tutors guide this journey, helping cultivate critical thinking and independent learning skills while encouraging engagement with fundamental global challenges—from social justice to climate change.
Philosophy, Psychology and Scientific Thought
The Philosophy, Psychology and Scientific Thought BA weaves together three disciplines to examine the nature of mind. Beyond studying brain mechanisms and child development, students explore how mental illness has been conceptualized throughout history and tackle philosophical questions surrounding artificial intelligence, race, and gender. A second-year research methods module equips them for their final project, where they can choose between a supported or fully independent investigation.
Advanced Psychology MPsyc, BSc
This British Psychological Society-accredited program takes students through advanced-level exploration of psychology. They examine questions like medical decision-making, technology’s impact on daily life, and mental health prevalence while developing their own research under academic supervision.
