Personalized Approach to Enrollment
Worth School welcomes students at various entry points, which allows families to choose timing that suits their circumstances best. While the main admissions happen at 11 years old (Year 7), 13 (Year 9), and 16 (Year 12), occasional openings emerge for other age groups as well. The selection process ensures both sides can understand each other: families receive invitations for multiple visits, and each child undergoes individual assessment tailored to their age. Younger candidates participate in assessment days during spring, six months before they’d begin, whereas those entering at 13 complete tests and interviews in the spring term of Year 6. For sixth-formers choosing between IB and A-Levels, the process involves autumn interviews alongside report reviews and portfolio evaluations.
Candidate Assessment System
The testing runs online, meaning candidates can access it from any device—be it a computer, laptop, or tablet. Over 2 hours and 10 minutes, they tackle various sections covering English, mathematics, logical reasoning, and creative tasks. Some tests adapt as students progress: maths and logic questions adjust their difficulty based on how someone performs, becoming either harder or easier accordingly. Meanwhile, English and creative sections remain consistent for everyone, though not all candidates reach the end within the allotted timeframe.
Worth School Tuition Fees
Annual costs vary depending on a child’s age and whether they board or attend as day students. For younger pupils (Years 7-8), families pay £25,176 including VAT. Senior day students are charged £37,353 annually, while boarders pay £54,849 (prices valid for 2025-2026). These figures encompass lessons, meals for all students, accommodation and laundry for boarders, most textbooks, and various activities. This comprehensive approach means parents rarely need to cover additional basic expenses.
Additional Costs
Beyond tuition, several mandatory fees apply. Registration requires a non-refundable £240, British families pay a £2,100 non-returnable deposit, whereas international students provide £8,000 that can be reclaimed later. Examination fees range from £58 per GCSE to £535 for IB retakes. Optional services include medical insurance at £158 per term, private language tutoring between £541 and £683 per term, plus IELTS preparation for £641 with the exam itself costing £221. Notably, counseling support is partially subsidized—the first three sessions come at no charge.
