It’s a place that believes in providing a solid educational experience while allowing its students to have fun and explore their interests. The school is open to students as young as 3 all the way to 18, and it’s been around since 1707. We cherish our history and tradition, and over the years, we’ve grown and changed to make sure we’re offering the best education possible. Extracurricular Activities
Our school life isn’t just about classes and studying. We’ve got loads of extracurricular activities to keep us busy. From hockey, football, netball, badminton, swimming, golf, to cricket, there’s a sport for everyone. We also have lots of music and theater performances throughout the year, giving students tons of chances to get involved and shine. Then there are clubs and societies like the Combined Cadet Force, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and Model United Nations, where we can develop personal skills and explore our passions.
History
Warminster School has been around for a long time. It was founded in 1707 by Thomas Thynne, 1st Viscount Weymouth, and has deep roots in the local community and the Church of England. In 1973, the school became co-educational, bringing together Lord Weymouth’s Grammar School and St Monica’s and entering a new chapter in its history. Throughout the years, we’ve stayed true to our commitment to providing a well-rounded education, combining tradition with modern educational practices.
In summary, Warminster School is a place where students from all walks of life can learn and grow, both academically and personally. We respect tradition while embracing the future, getting our students ready for whatever comes next.
