Programs at Lady Elizabeth School

Teaching Method

At Lady Elizabeth School (LES), students experience a comprehensive British education from an early age through to their final years. The curriculum is designed to develop well-rounded individuals equipped with strong academic skills, personal values, and global aspirations.

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at Lady Elizabeth School

The EYFS provides a safe and stimulating learning environment for children from birth to 5 years old. Qualified staff support the development of young children in seven key areas:

  • Communication and Language
  • Physical Development
  • Personal, Social, and Emotional Development
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design

Primary Stage (Years 1-6)

From Year 1 to Year 6, Lady Elizabeth School follows the official British system for English and Mathematics. For all other subjects, the school uses the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). IPC is a thematic program covering History, Geography, Science, Art, Design and Technology, Information Technology, Music, Physical Education, and Social and International Awareness.

Middle School (Years 7-11)

Middle School at Lady Elizabeth School is divided into Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) and Key Stage 4 (Years 10-11).

In Key Stage 3, students follow a broad curriculum that includes core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities, and Spanish. This is complemented by Art, Drama, Music, Cooking, Information Technology, Physical Education, and various language options.

During Key Stage 4, students prepare for the IGCSE exams by studying core subjects and selecting five additional subjects from over 20 options. The IGCSE is an internationally recognized qualification.

Sixth Form at Lady Elizabeth School

Students in the Sixth Form, aged 16-18, choose 3-4 A Level subjects from a selection of 20 to prepare for university and future careers. Lady Elizabeth School also offers additional PCE subjects for those aiming to enhance their qualifications for entry into Spanish universities.

The Sixth Form program focuses on academic excellence, with a 97% pass rate and successful graduate employment worldwide. Students benefit from English immersion, active learning, individual mentoring, and unique extracurricular opportunities.
