Exam Results

In 2025, students at American School of Madrid averaged 34.5 points on their IB exams—nearly 4 points above the global benchmark. What makes this particularly noteworthy is that the school welcomes everyone into its International Baccalaureate program, not just top performers. Over 15 students scored above 40 points, which triples the worldwide rate, while 21 graduates earned bilingual diplomas demonstrating academic fluency across multiple languages.

Graduate Admissions at American School of Madrid

Over the past five years, more than half of American School of Madrid graduates have enrolled in universities ranked within the global QS top 100—a figure that has remained consistent. Just this year, students received 123 offers from institutions in the US News top 100 and 58 from those in the top 50, including Cornell, Columbia, Duke, Northwestern, NYU, and Berkeley.

Campus Development

In 2021, American School of Madrid unveiled a net-zero middle school building—among the world’s first such projects in school architecture. Two years later came Don Quijote Park, Spain’s pioneering playground of this kind. The school continues following its decade-long development plan: 2024 brought expanded art studios and the new Black Box Theater, while the entire 11-acre campus keeps evolving toward contemporary learning formats.
