Admission Requirements
CATS College Cambridge welcomes students aged 14 to 18 across different programs, depending on their academic background. The two-year A Level requires completion of grade 10, while Foundation accepts those who’ve finished grade 11, and GCSE opens its doors after grade 8. Rather than competitive selection, the college maintains clear language and academic standards: A Level and Foundation require IELTS 4.5 minimum, whereas GCSE accepts 3.5. Since the institution specializes in international students, language support continues throughout studies.
Document Submission
The process typically begins with a campus visit—either in person or via Teams—where prospective students tour facilities and meet faculty. Following this, applicants submit an online form directly or work with an agent in their home country, providing a passport and recent academic transcripts. There’s no registration fee, which simplifies entry. Once reviewed, successful candidates receive an offer letter with enrollment forms and detailed instructions for their next steps.
CATS College Cambridge Costs
Annual tuition runs £38,515 for international students, with an initial non-refundable fee of £600 and a £2,500 returnable deposit. Accommodation with meals in an ensuite single room ranges from £21,520 to £24,885 yearly—mandatory for all under-18s. Additional expenses include exam fees (£60–220 per subject), textbooks around £400, uniform £60, and UCAS university registration at £70. Optional services include hourly tutoring at £100, excursions, or Duke of Edinburgh programs costing £300–815.
Visas and Relocation
After meeting enrollment conditions, the college issues a CAS reference number needed for student visas. Applicants pay visa fees and Immigration Health Surcharge (approximately £776 annually) directly to the UK government—these aren’t covered institutionally. Arriving two days before term starts allows smooth settling-in, with airport transfers available from £120 (Stansted) to £260 (Gatwick). Upon enrollment, students access the Student Hub portal containing essential information about classes, boarding arrangements, and preparing for life in Cambridge.
