Mathematics, neuroscience, economics, and architecture remain the most sought-after fields, though the admission list spans a wide range of disciplines with strong academic reputations.

Recent placements include St Andrews (ranked second by Times), Durham, Bath, UCL, Bristol, and King’s College London, alongside Warwick, Exeter, and Manchester. Over the past six years, the proportion of students securing places at top universities has remained consistently high across the most competitive courses. Meanwhile, the UFP qualification is recognized by 19 of 24 Russell Group universities and over 95 institutions in the UK’s top 100.

Guaranteed University Places

The college has secured guaranteed admission agreements with several British universities. When applicants meet the required grades and demonstrate sufficient English proficiency, they receive undergraduate offers without further selection, a mechanism that applies to both A Level and UFP programmes.

Partner institutions include Birmingham, Exeter, Surrey, Royal Holloway, Coventry, and Norwich University of the Arts, with some offering dedicated scholarships to CATS graduates. For those pursuing medicine, special arrangements with universities in Grenada, Buckingham, and Cyprus guarantee interviews upon application.

From day one, dedicated Higher Education Officers work full-time on university applications, providing each student with mandatory preparation sessions and unlimited personal consultations. They guide young people through university and course selection, clarify admission expectations, and help craft personal statements that reflect individual interests while meeting institutional requirements.

The college also hosts representatives from universities worldwide and organizes a University Fair featuring Cambridge, UCL, and Imperial College London. Students practice interviews with experts, attend open days, and access tutors beyond scheduled hours to ensure their applications are as strong as possible.

Programme for Ambitious Students

For those targeting Oxbridge or competitive fields like law, finance, medicine, and STEAM, the Key Professions Programme offers specialized support. Each participant receives a mentor with relevant professional experience who guides them through the entire application process.

This personalized pathway includes completing an Extended Project (independent research with prizes for outstanding work), arranging placements and volunteering for medical specialties, and preparing for entrance exams such as UCAT, LNAT, or Oxbridge assessments. Students undergo Oxbridge-style interview rehearsals with university faculty, compete in academic challenges like Mathematics Challenges or Cambridge Chemistry Challenge, and attend online sessions with Oxford and Cambridge lecturers.
