Early Years

Dubai British School Mira lets little ones explore the world as nature intended—through play and discovery. The environment invites children to engage with seven key areas of the British EYFS curriculum at their own pace, which educators respect rather than rush. This approach builds confidence: a three-year-old tries, stumbles, and tries again without fear, knowing support is there. Sessions wrap up before lunch (even earlier on Fridays), maintaining a healthy balance that prevents fatigue.

Primary School

From Year 1 through Year 6, the school follows the British national curriculum but brings it to life through genuine curiosity. Students see how mathematics connects with science, how history echoes in art—they participate in international projects and gradually realize they can shape the world themselves. Year 1 serves as a thoughtful bridge where play still matters, yet academic goals emerge, with each child progressing at their own speed. Beyond literacy, the school cultivates friendship, empathy, and emotional awareness. Spanish instruction begins during this stage as well.

Secondary Years at Dubai British School Mira

When students enter Years 7-8, Dubai British School Mira increases demands and responsibility without dismantling what primary years established. Subject specialists now lead classes, pushing teenagers to think critically, debate, and test their own solutions in practice. Yet the school remembers that thirteen is an age when one thoughtless comment can undermine academic progress. Personal support remains inseparable from learning: adults help students build resilience, grow more independent, and stay authentic under pressure.

Individual Approach

Dubai British School Mira recognizes that children differ, and one-size-fits-all programs don’t work. The school uses a Graduated Response model: specialists assess what holds a particular child back, create a support plan, implement it, adjust as needed, and verify results.

This assistance covers four areas:

  • Academic—extra materials and one-on-one sessions
  • Social—communication skills training in small groups
  • Emotional—strategies for managing anxiety and anger
  • Linguistic—support for those learning English as an additional language

Through this process, children gradually become self-sufficient—and feel the school stands with them.
