Residence
Since opening in 2011, the boarding house has welcomed up to 60 students aged 11 to 18. Tenbury House stands as a modern building right on campus, where children live under round-the-clock supervision. Single, double, or triple rooms come equipped with bathrooms, air conditioning, and internet access. Boys and girls occupy separate floors, while house parent families reside nearby to help with any questions that arise. Beyond individual rooms, the building offers a dining hall, common lounge, and cinema room, with campus sports facilities available during evening hours.
Life at Boarding
After classes end, students complete homework under staff supervision before gathering for dinner in the residence dining hall. Weekends bring organized trips—excursions to Madrid, mountain visits, or cultural events ranging from art galleries to ballet performances. Activities like karting, paintball, and concerts keep things varied, with organizers considering interests across the international community. The goal is straightforward: students should communicate freely, form friendships, and feel at home even when far from their families.
Accommodation Formats at King’s College Soto de Vinuelas
Several options exist: full boarding with returns only during holidays, weekly boarding allowing weekend trips home, or term-based stays for international students. With children from over 50 countries, the international atmosphere develops naturally. Older students serve as prefects, helping younger ones settle in. This vertical system lets different ages live together and support each other, while house parents maintain what becomes a family atmosphere where everyone looks out for one another.
Admission
Senior applicants undergo interviews with the director or a team member from King’s College Soto de Vinuelas. Parents handle student visa and residence permit arrangements independently, then pay the registration fee and deposit after receiving the acceptance letter. The school organizes transfers from Barajas Airport—just 20 minutes away. Tenbury House staff meet newcomers upon arrival and see them off at term’s end, leaving parents to arrange only the flights themselves.
