Role of Sport

At King’s College Soto de Vinuelas Madrid, sport stands alongside academics and creativity as part of the Inspired group’s philosophy. From an early age, specialized coaches work with children to develop both technique and a genuine love of movement. The school regularly hosts tournaments with other private Madrid institutions and Inspired schools worldwide, giving students real competitive experience while they meet peers from across different countries.

Types of Sport at King’s College Soto de Vinuelas Madrid

Primary students explore nine disciplines ranging from football and swimming to rhythmic gymnastics and judo. Secondary students can choose from over twenty options that span team games, individual pursuits, and even extreme activities like horse riding, skateboarding, and karting.

Achievements

Several graduates have represented their countries at the London and Rio Olympics. Many earn full athletic scholarships to American universities, competing in rowing, tennis, and water polo. Others pursue careers at leading European institutions—one recent graduate joined the University of Bath’s basketball team—while some move into professional football or sports management.

Infrastructure

The 12-hectare campus features an indoor heated 25-meter pool, a full-size Astroturf field, a modern fitness center, and a multipurpose gym, along with tennis courts, outdoor facilities, and running tracks. Rare for Madrid, it maintains its own equestrian center with stables where students practice riding. During summer, the campus hosts camps led by Real Madrid coaches.
