Ages and Entry Points
Royal High School Bath welcomes girls from Year 7 onwards, with primary entry points at Years 7, 9, and Sixth Form. While mid-year admission remains possible when places become available, the selection approach shifts as candidates mature—younger applicants demonstrate potential through personal qualities, whereas those entering later stages face structured academic assessments with defined grade thresholds.
Selection Procedure
Year 7 candidates complete written tasks and interviews before delivering a three-minute presentation on something they’re proud of, which reveals their abilities beyond written work. Those applying for Years 8-10 sit English and mathematics exams, with science joining the mix from Year 9. Sixth Form entry requires at least six GCSEs graded 6 or above, though A Level subjects demand grade 7, while English and mathematics must reach grade 4 minimum.
International Candidates
Licensed by UK Visas and Immigration, the institution supports visa arrangements by issuing CAS letters after acceptance. Interviews happen both in person and online, while testing can be completed at British Council offices or through accredited agencies. All international students must appoint a UK guardian who arranges transfers and assumes responsibility during shorter breaks when the campus closes—a requirement that safeguards their welfare beyond school grounds.
