Music

Royal High School Bath belongs to the global Steinway Music Schools network—one of 250 venues equipped with Steinway grands. Students can join 14 ensembles, ranging from orchestra and wind ensemble to Samba Band, African drumming group, and Community Choir, which welcomes local residents and parents. The music department regularly organizes international tours, with girls having already performed in Barcelona, France, and Germany, while concerts at Steinway halls in London, New York, and Beijing lie ahead. The school houses 10 Steinway grands, including a Model B in its 60-seat concert hall, plus a professional recording studio and A-level Music Technology course for aspiring sound engineers.

Options include hockey at Bath Buccs and Avon Hockey, netball at Team Bath, swimming with Bath Dolphins, cricket, tennis at Lansdown, and gymnastics at Baskervilles Gym, with access to the Olympic center at Bath University.

Leisure

On weekends, Royal High School Bath organizes trips to London theaters, rock climbing at Avon Gorge, and rafting in the Mendips. Girls visit the Roman Baths, Fashion Museum, and the annual Bath Festival featuring comedy, music, and literary performances. On campus, they tackle the Ten Tors Challenge and work toward their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award while zorbing, baking pizza in the outdoor oven, or watching open-air cinema in their downtime.
