Applying to the School
International Management Institute offers several entry points throughout the year: intakes open in May, August, November, and February. While this flexibility helps accommodate different schedules, submitting documents well ahead of your chosen start date makes visa processing and payment arrangements far less stressful. Throughout the process, a dedicated support team guides applicants through each requirement.
Required Documents
Admission to International Management Institute Switzerland requires assembling several key materials:
- Most recent academic transcript
- Passport copy
- English proficiency certificate (such as IELTS)
Beyond these, applicants submit a 500-word motivation letter outlining their goals, plus an English-language CV. A medical certificate completes the standard package, though some cases also require proof of financial capacity and a letter of intent to return home after graduation.
Submitting Your Application to International Management Institute
The application begins with an online form where you upload your documents. An individual consultation with the admissions team follows, offering a chance to clarify details and receive feedback. Once approved, candidates receive a Provisional Letter of Acceptance (PLOA) and have 21 days to pay the registration fee.
The official Letter of Acceptance (LOA) needed for your visa takes up to 8 weeks to process. Financial deadlines matter here: the first payment (50% of tuition, accommodation, and meals) must arrive 8 weeks before classes begin, with the remainder due within two weeks of starting.
Admission Requirements
Entry criteria vary by program. The preparatory Certificate level accepts students at 17 with a secondary school diploma and IELTS 4.5.
Bachelor’s programs require applicants to be 18 with a diploma, IB, or A-Levels, plus IELTS 5.0. For Graduate Diploma entry, candidates either present a bachelor’s degree in any field or demonstrate at least three years of professional experience.
The MSc accepts graduates from any discipline who meet IELTS 6.0, with no category below 5.5—a threshold that ensures smooth integration into the academic environment and international community.
