Housing Options
Living options at Manhattan College are available in multiple styles, spanning between traditional dorm rooms and modern residential units that accommodate various lifestyles and preferences. First-year students receive guaranteed housing for all four years, which creates opportunities to build lasting relationships. The residence life program prioritizes building community bonds via common areas and activities that naturally bring people together.
Dorm Life
Traditional residential buildings include double rooms with communal bathrooms down the hall, allowing residents to easily connect with neighbors. Each floor has resident assistants who help create a welcoming atmosphere, while a hall director organizes programs and events that turn these buildings into close-knit communities rather than just places to sleep.
Student Housing at Manhattan College
The main grounds feature multiple residential buildings. Chrysostom Hall, renovated in fall 2022, houses about 60 students with cable TV, internet, lounges with large screens, kitchens, AC, laundry, and study spaces. Jasper Hall accommodates roughly 120 residents on five levels, including graduates on year-long contracts with meal plans. Horan Hall serves around 400 students with updated bathrooms, while Lee Hall—largest at 550 beds—primarily houses first-years.
Suites
Suite-style living appeals to upperclassmen wanting greater autonomy while staying on campus. Such accommodations generally hold two residents who have their own bathroom, providing them with enhanced privacy compared to conventional halls. Shared facilities including common rooms with televisions, kitchen areas, laundry equipment, and designated study zones give these structures a feel closer to residential complexes than standard dormitories.
Residential Units at MANHATTAN COLLEGE
Independent-style apartment accommodation at Manhattan College delivers the freedom associated with off-campus living combined with the benefit of remaining part of campus life. Situated in Horan Hall, such residences accommodate more than 180 residents in arrangements varying from three to six occupants per unit. Every unit includes cable television, internet access, communal lounge areas, study zones, and accessible mailbox services—everything within walking distance of Broadway’s dining options and the primary subway entrance.
