Admissions Policy
Orwell Park School welcomes children from age two, guiding families through an eight-step journey that culminates in assigning each newcomer a personal buddy mentor on their first day. The process emphasizes accessibility—no special preparation is required, while assessments simply ensure pupils are placed in appropriate learning groups. Registration costs £100 for British families and £150 for international ones (2026 rates).
Process and Stages
Once families submit their registration form and a recent school report, they meet the headmaster for a ninety-minute campus tour. During a trial day, children from Year 3 onwards complete straightforward English and mathematics assessments, then speak with the deputy head academic. Following a successful visit, the school sends a written offer immediately, requesting a £500 deposit from British families or £750 from international ones—amounts returned upon graduation, minus any incurred expenses.
International Candidates
Families abroad navigate the entire process remotely: a Zoom meeting with the headmaster replaces the campus visit, while children sit supervised assessments at home before submitting their work for review. As a licensed Child Student sponsor, the school partners with Newland Chase to handle visa support and immigration paperwork. It also stores pupils’ passports and documents, arranges transfers, and requires parents to appoint official guardians.
Tuition at Orwell Park School
Day tuition ranges from £5,324 per term for younger years to £9,397 for Years 4–8, all fees including VAT. Additional options include EAL language support (£373–£1,140), temporary boarding accommodation at £65 per night, and sports kit laundry at £84. British families may apply childcare vouchers and tax-free childcare schemes toward day camp fees.
