Curriculum at Eastwood Montreux

IB and American academics

Eastwood Montreux International School is a candidate school for the IB Diploma Programme and is pursuing authorisation as an IB World School. Only schools authorised by the IB Organization can teach its programmes, and candidate status does not guarantee that authorisation will be granted. Alongside the IB route, students can take the American Diploma through Eastwood Global, the group’s online school. The language of instruction is English, and the school is aimed at students aged 14 to 18.

Afternoons for IMPACT

Academic lessons are complemented by IMPACT, a real-world skills programme. Every afternoon students work on personal and group projects in six strands: Imagination (writing, design, film and media), Movement (sport and wellbeing), Planet (sustainability and systems thinking), Action (entrepreneurship, leadership and service), Character (ethics, resilience and independence) and Technologies (AI, robotics and data science).

The Eastwood Passport

Grades are only part of the record. Every student develops a Legacy Project, and growth in leadership, resilience and creativity is measured in the IMPACT Profile. Academic results, the IMPACT Profile and the Legacy Project together make up the Eastwood Passport – a record of what students have built, not only what they have learned.

Languages

Besides English, language lessons are offered in French, German, Italian, Spanish and Arabic.
