Extracurricular life at Eastwood Montreux

IMPACT: learning by doing

At Eastwood Montreux much of what other schools treat as extracurricular is part of the daily timetable. Every afternoon students work on projects in the six IMPACT strands, and each strand produces real results:

Imagination – students write, design and create: short films, magazines and YouTube channels.
Movement – they train for endurance challenges, lead sports teams and design wellness programmes.
Planet – they map local biodiversity, build vertical gardens and work with Swiss NGOs on sustainability projects.
Action – they launch start-ups, pitch to investors and lead community service projects.
Character – alpine expeditions, public speaking and mentoring build confidence and independence.
Technologies – coding sprints and product design labs introduce AI, robotics and data science.

Mentors from the 53 Leaders network

Members of the school’s 53 Leaders council – entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, athletes and diplomats – give masterclasses, review student projects and talk to students in small groups about their careers and ideas.

Legacy Projects

Every student develops a Legacy Project, a venture, creative work or social initiative that grows over time and continues beyond their years at the school.
